Charlotte based Spiroflow has acquired Food Control Solutions, systems integration and automation company in the food industry, for an undisclosed price.
This new development combines the strength of Spiroflow's worldwide bulk material handling solutions and the automation expertise of Food Control Solutions, reports Food Engineering.
Established in 2000, Food Control Solutions offers automation solutions to the food and dairy industries and now a recognised system integrator for Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation.
As a certified Wonderware system integrator, the firm currently serves customers in the US, Europe, Canada and Mexico.
Spiroflow co-chairman Jeffrey Dudas was quoted by Food Engineering as saying: "Over a year ago, we recognized the value of their custom automation and systems integration work, the quality and ingenuity of their solutions, and their excellent reputation.
"The acquisition of Food Control Solutions will allow us to provide complete end to end automated process solutions to our customers."
Spiroflow offers a wide range of standard and custom options for both small- and large-volume users. Its primary markets include the food, dairy, snack food, confectionery, beverage and pet food, among others.
