Honda Car India has issued a recall for 1,075 units of Honda Accord manufactured in 2003, and 252 units of Honda CR-V manufactured in 2002.
The recall comes as a part of the recalls made by the car manufacturer for the defective passenger side air bags that were announced in June 2014.
The company said that in case of an accident the inflator casing may get damaged which could cause injury to the passengers.
Honda also added that no reports of injury related to faulty air bags have been reported in India till date.
The car maker will replace the passenger side air bag inflator for free across Honda Cars India dealerships across the country.
Customers can check the eligibility of their cars through the company's micro website hondacarindia.com by submitting the alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number.
