German luxury carmaker Daimler has unveiled Mercedes-AMG E 43 4MATIC, its high-performance variant of the new E-Class.
The new luxury sedan will make its world premiere at the New York International Auto Show in March 2016.
It will be available for order in June, 2016 and the market launch will begin in September, 2016.
The E 43 is powered by a 3 liter six cylinder, biturbo engine which will produce a power output of 401hp (295kW) and a torque of 520Nm.
It has a top speed of 250km/h and can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 4.6 seconds.
According to the company, the engine cylinders have been coated with their in-house NANOSLIDE which is wear-resistant and reduces friction and improves efficiency.
The engine is connected to a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission with shorter shift times, which delivers the engine power to the wheels.
Daimler said that the gear shift times could be reduced because of dedicated software application that controls it. The driver can also opt for manual gear shift by the press of a button.
The luxury car is fitted with AMG Performance 4MATIC four-wheel drive which provides optimum traction to all the wheels.
Daimler has further enhanced driving experience by retuning the sports suspension based on AIR BODY CONTROL air suspension.
The suspension can be configured in three modes which include Eco, Comfort, Sport, Sport Plus and individual modes. These modes offer better comfort during long journeys and sporty driving conditions.
This luxury sedan has been fitted with 19-inch five spoke, light alloy wheels painted in high-gloss black.
The car has a braking system with internally ventilated compound brake discs that ensure quick and reliable deceleration.
The brake operates with 4-piston fitted calipers on the front and 1-piston fitted caliper on the rear.
One can find the characteristic two chrome-plated quad-flow exhaust tail pipes in the rear end.
