Bluewater Bio International, the provider of water and wastewater treatment technologies, has appointed Fergus Rooksby as commercial director.
Bluewater Bio says that he brings over 20 years’ engineering, project development and commercial experience in water and wastewater, gained on projects throughout the UK as well the USA, Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Asia. During the last decade or so, Fergus has had business development roles with Biotim, AWG, Purac and, most recently Enpure Ltd.
Bluewater Bio adds that Fergus’ career has also provided him with valuable insight into the importance of water and wastewater management within the broader cleantech and energy sectors. His early roles included, for instance, landfill, Combined Heat & Power and waste strategy projects in both the public and private sector.
As Business Development Director (Water) for Enpure, Fergus was responsible to the Board for all new business in the water sector – both domestic and overseas. By mid 2012 this equated to a £60m per annum water turnover, with some £350m of pipeline and a further £300m of named opportunities.
