India's Uflex Introduces New Twin Head Form-Fill and Seal Machine for Packaging Industry

India based flexible packaging company Uflex has introduced collar type twin head four servo driven form-fill & seal (FFS) machine to help increase packaging efficiency for customers.

Featuring two heads for forming and filling pouches of different types and sizes, the machine is designed and manufactured by the Uflex’ Engineering Business at its plant in Noida, India.

The new versatile machine is expected to meet the increasing demand for packing granular materials and powders with ease and efficiency from packers, the company said.

Uflex chairman and managing director Ashok Chaturvedi said: “The New Twin Head Four Servo Driven Form-Fill & Seal Machine is a classic example of value engineering by Uflex.

“Upholding our ethos of continuous improvisation of products and processes we have engineered this machine offering immense flexibility to our customers for packing variety of products.”

The machine is integrated with a control panel in the centre of both the heads while its four servo system is coupled up with a vacuum belt to help reduce rejection rates of formed and filled pouches.

Based on product to be packed, quantity to be filled, laminate structure & thickness and the filling system used, the machine can form and fill up to 110 pillow type pouches per minute.

Designed to reduce space, electricity and maintenance, the machine also features new design of blade that ensures quality perforation between the pillow type pouches, which are used for packing extruded snacks, pulses, rice and spices among other products.

Uflex engineering business president and CEO Ajay Tandon said: “Owing to its 4 servo drives and the vacuum belt, the alignment and movement of the laminate is very smooth and perfect thereby significantly reducing the rejects.

“Further, the seal integrity that the machine offers is of high quality enhancing product safety and customers’ satisfaction and delight.”

“Ease of handling, optimal space utilization on the shop floor, work flow flexibility and optimized operational costs all put together make this machine a great value for money.”

The company plans to showcase the new machine at PackEx India 2016 scheduled to be held in Mumbai, India.
