Infiniti, the luxury vehicle division of Japanese automaker Nissan Motor, will unveil the hybrid version of its 2014 Infiniti QX60 crossover at the upcoming New York International Auto Show to be held during 29 March 2013 to 07 April 2013 in the US.
The new gasoline electric hybrid crossover will be powered by a 2.5L supercharged engine and 15kW electric motor mated to an advanced continuously variable transmission (CVT) and collectively generate an output of 250hp.
Additionally, the hybrid also incorporates Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid system that uses a Lithium-ion battery and electric motor to offer extra power through its one-motor/two-clutch system.
Features of the new hybrid include an intelligent regenerative braking system that would partially recharge the battery during vehicle braking.
The new hybrid is expected to offer fuel efficiency of about 26mpg.
Upon its launch in the US during summer 2013, the QX60 hybrid will join the Infiniti's other hybrid variants including Q70 and Q50.
