Miso Tasty has introduced its premium soup range in around 200 Waitrose stores across the UK.

Waitrose has stocked classic Shiro and spicy Aka flavours of the brand's instant miso soup. With a special introductory price of £3, both the flavours are available in a pack of four. The recommended retail price of the products are £3.65, reported FoodBev.com.

The new range of miso soups is already available at retail stores such as Sainsbury's, Ocado, Whole Foods, Selfridges, and Harvey Nichols.

The classic Shiro miso soup is made by fermenting for six months for the mix to attain a light, traditional flavor.

The producer of Miso soup is located at the Central Japanese Alps, where miso is fermented using snowmelt from the mountains. The traditional Japanese soup consists of a stock into which miso paste is mixed. Depending on personal and regional preference, many other ingredients are added.

Miso Tasty director Bonnie Chung was quoted by the website as saying: "We have worked incredibly hard to perfect our unique miso soup recipe, which we spent many years developing. It's so rewarding to see our products being adopted by the retailers, enjoyed by consumers and it's a dream come true for Miso Tasty to be sitting on Waitrose's shelves!"
