British vehicle manufacturer Aston Martin has unveiled the new Vanquish Volante sports car, which is aimed at offering improved convertible driving experience.
The new convertible super GT sports model is powered by a new AM11 6.0L V12 engine that generates an output of 565hp at 6,750 rpm, while 620Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.
The engine transfers power to the rear wheels via a Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic gearbox and is claimed to sprint from 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds, while achieving a top speed of 183mph.
British carmaker's new super GT uses Vertical Horizontal (VH) architecture, which is a lightweight bonded aluminium structure aimed at offering improved strength and rigidity, while also deploys semi-structural carbon fibre components and latest aerospace technologies.
Features of the new sports car include a new centre stack that incorporates the ECU engine start button, glass gear selection buttons and a new infotainment system.
Technological features incorporated in the four-seated convertible include dynamic stability control (DSC), positive torque control (PTC), adaptive damping system (ADS) and carbon ceramic matrix (CCM) braking system.
Aston Martin is planning to begin initial deliveries of the new sports car in the UK and Continental Europe during late 2013.
