Denso Has Established a New Plant and Facility in Urbandale

Japanese automotive products manufacturer, Denso has established a new thermal assembly plant and warehouse facility in Urbandale, Iowa in the US.

The manufacturer had invested about half million dollars in the Denso Manufacturing Michigan Iowa Plant (DMIA) and expects to increase its production by two times in the upcoming two years.

Denso International America president and CEO Howard Sugi said, "With the opening of the Urbandale facility, Denso has localized the assembly of products for its North American customers that were previously assembled in the UK."

The new facility assembles cooling modules for the agricultural and construction industries, while managing pass-through products including radiator assemblies and cooling modules for the construction, agriculture and electric power industries.

Current investment is part of the company's aim to invest about $2bn in North America, which includes over $750m in the US in order to strengthen and expand its product development and manufacturing capabilities.
