About 750,000 Vehicles Was Recalled by Bmw Due to Electrical Breakdown Problems

German automobile manufacturer BMW has recalled about 750,000 vehicles in the US, Japan, Canada and South Africa due to an electrical breakdown problem.

The recall affects 504,545 vehicles in the US, 100,000 units in Japan, 50,000 cars in South Africa and 65,285 vehicles including 2012-modeled 1,800 units of the X1 compact crossovers in Canada.

Problem in the vehicles is reported to be with a battery cable connector that may break and cut electric power to the engine that causes vehicle to stop or even crash.

Vehicle models affected by the recall include BMW's 3-Series sedans, convertibles, coupes, sports wagons, 1-Series coupes and convertibles, and Z4 two-seat roadsters.

The company claims that one crash has been reported in Canada regarding the issue, while cases of crashes or injuries have been no reported in the US.
