Infiniti, the luxury vehicle brand of the Nissan, is planning to sell 100,000 vehicles in Europe by 2016, up from 12,500 units it sold in 2011.
According to Infiniti, the move is part as part of the company's six-year mid-term business plan, aimed to triple its global sales to 500,000 units by 2016 from 146,000 sales in 2011.
The company's worldwide growth strategy is expected to be motivated by the demand in China and other Asian markets.
In Europe, the carmaker will mainly focus on its new model which will be launched in 2014 and is expected to be the major contributor of the sales in Europe.
