Toyoda Gosei Has Invested $1.5m to Open a New Automobile Parts Manufacturing Company

Japan-based Toyoda Gosei has opened a new automobile parts manufacturing company, Toyoda Gosei Rubber Mexico (TGRMX) with an investment of $1.5m.

The new plant is expected to strengthen the company's automotive rubber hose production in North America.

Located in Matamoros City of Tamaulipas, the new plant is scheduled to start production in February 2015 and is Toyoda Gosei's third manufacturing base in Mexico.

Following the start of production, TGRMX will supply and deliver fuel hoses as well as radiator hoses for the automobile manufacturer Toyota in the US, Canada and Mexico regions.

The new 12,000sqm manufacturing plant built on a 29,000sqm site will be completely owned by Toyoda Gosei North America.

The automobile parts manufacturer expects to generate sales of about $3.2m form the new plant by fiscal 2015.

Currently, Toyoda Gosei supplies automotive components and LEDs with its network of 60 group companies in 17 countries and regions across the globe.
