The Sales of Lamborghini Raised by 30% in 2012

Italian sports car manufacturer Lamborghini has reported 30% rise in sale to 2,083 units for the fiscal 2012 that ended on 31 December, compared to the 1,602 units sold in the previous year.

The increase was driven by the sale of 922 units of the new Aventador LP 700-4 and 1,161 units of the Gallardo models during the year.

Lamborghini president and CEO Stephan Winkelmann said that the company has delivered satisfying performance in 2012, in spite of ongoing worldwide financial and economic uncertainties.

"We will continue to invest in the development of our product range to address further growth in the future," Winkelmann added.

In Europe the company sold 29% of the total sale, 28% in America, 35% in Asia Pacific 35% and 8% in the Middle East and South Africa.

In 2013, the company plans to manufacture the Lamborghini Veneno, which was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland.
