Clean Air Power has entered into an agreement with British automaker Ricardo to produce a dual-fuel truck engine for South East Asian Market in a concept development agreement with a global truck manufacturer.
This project will use Dual-Fuel combustion technology from Clean Air Power to deliver an advanced dual-fuel engine. The engine will achieve its emissions objective and reduces the extent of emissions after-treatment required by the base diesel engine.
The development project is expected to be undertaken a concept phase for six months and will enter a second stage to bring the advanced dual-fuel engine to start of production.
Besides this, Ricardo and Clean Air Power also entered into an agreement for the development of the dual fuel engine business in late 2013. The agreement is aimed at strengthening the products of both companies.
President Tom Apostolos said, " "This achievement serves as a highly tangible validation of our strategy of collaboration with Clean Air Power, combining its market leading dual-fuel engine technology with Ricardo's expertise in vehicle systems integration, and hence providing significant value to customers on a global basis."
