Arthur J Gallagher & Co, a US-based insurance brokerage and risk management services firm, has purchased Missouri-based independent insurance agency Metzler Bros. Insurance.
Further terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Commenting on the acquisition, Arthur J Gallagher & Co chairman, president and CEO J Patrick Gallagher, Jr., said that the acquisition will boost its professional expertise, market relationships and commitment to personalized client service.
"Their quality-focused sales culture and areas of specialization will be a terrific complement to our South Central region," Gallagher, Jr., added.
As per the terms of the agreement, Stephen Metzler, who is the president and chief financial officer of Metzler Bros, vice president Mark Simcosky, as well as their team will join Gallagher family of professionals.
They will remain working from their Kansas City location under the direction of Mike Henthorn, head of Gallagher's South Central retail property/casualty brokerage operation.
