Toray Plastics (America) is set to unveil new Torayfan OPP and Lumirror PET film technologies at Pack Expo International 2016 in the US.
The event will take place in Chicago, Illinois from 6 to 9 November.
At the event, the company will exhibit Torayfan CBS2 film, which is a PVdC-free and oxygen and moisture-barrier BOPP film that can be used as the inside sealant web for the packaging of snacks, cookies, crackers, granola, fruit/nut mixes, and confections.
The company will also showcase LumiLid portfolio of lidding films that are available in metallized, and bio-based formats for trays, including PP, APET, CPET and others.
The films can be used for refrigerated and frozen entrees, as well as side dishes, dairy items, fresh and dried foods.
Torayfan over-the-mountain portfolio of BOPP films were developed to prevent packages from bursting when they are shipped through fluctuating altitudes and atmospheric conditions.
Lumirror MR20 is a new polyester metal-transfer film that enables CPGs to create a luxurious effect on packaging for mass-produced goods.
Torayfan MWX6 and MWL are metallized white cavitated and BOPP films that are suitable for packaging salty crisp snacks, baked goods, confectionery items, and pet food.
Lumirror QN497 is a gas-barrier metallized PET film that can be used as an inner layer for the laminate film in foil replacement, extended shelf life, and gas-flushed applications, including coffee packaging.
The company will also exhibit other firms such as Torayfan TreaTear DR72 film, Lumirror QN506 gas-barrier transparent PET film, Torayfan RS03 OPP RipStop film, as well as Barrialox SBR2 aluminum oxide-coated polyester film and Toray HP Indigo pack ready films.
