ROK Drinks, a unit of UK-based ROK Stars, has selected US-based beer importer C2 Imports as its new distributor.
A multi-year exclusive agreement to this effect has been signed by ROK Drinks and C2 Imports.
As per the agreed terms, C2 Imports will distribute ABK Beer from Aktien Brauerei across the US, effective immediately.
ROK Stars chairman Jonathan Kendrick said that the company will work with C2 Imports to market and distribute ABK Beer across the US.
"The American market, with its ever-increasing interest in - and consumption of - both craft and heritage beers is absolutely key to our global deployment plans for the beers which, for the first time since the brewery was founded in 1308, are now available for global distribution," added Kendrick.
C2 Imports owner Charlie Cindric said, "We are very excited to have secured the exclusive rights to ABK Beer for the Unites States not only because these are truly superb beers but they have an astonishing 700 year old history - a fact which will appeal to beer fans across the country."
In May 2013, ROK Stars has bought majority stake in German firm Aktien Brauerei and has since re-designed and re-packaged a range of its beers for international export.
