Ford has issued two safety recalls due to issues with door handle and safety belt fastener in North America.
Around 205,000 units of 2010-2013 manufactured Ford Taurus, Lincoln MKS and Ford Police Interceptor sedans have issues with spring that controls the interior door handles.
If the spring is not seated properly the door may become unlatched, which could increase the risk of injury during crash.
The company announced that it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to the issue but it said that 194,889 units of vehicles in the US and 9,948 in Canada and 108 in Mexico are affected by the issue.
The dealers of the vehicles are expected to inspect all four interior door handle and repair the affected ones for free.
Approximately 16,100 units of 2014 Ford Transit Connect vehicles have issues with safety belt fasteners, which may not have been tightened properly.
The issue is not likely to harm the performance of the car but it could become fetal in case of an accident.
Dealers are expected to replace and properly tighten the safety belt fasteners.
