Michelin Americas Truck Tires has launched its Michelin XZA3+ in two new sizes that will help users carry additional weight without any change in performance of the tires.
The two new sizes - 11R24.5 and 275/80R24.5 (load range H) - come with additional steel belts to carry extra load.
The line also comprises those same sizes in load range G along with 11R22.5 and 275/80R22.5 sizes.
The new fuel efficient tire comes with US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) SmartWay verification.
The company is expanding the line to meet the increase in market and original equipment demands that use steer tires for handling heavier tractor weights.
Michelin Americas Truck Tires director of marketing Bianca Hogan said: "The expansion of the MICHELIN XZA3+ line provides a solution for today's evolving tractor equipment and aids in reducing greenhouse gas emissions -- factors that are important to Michelin, original equipment manufacturers and the industry as a whole.
"Along with the ability to handle heavier tractor weights, the XZA3+ will continue to deliver the fuel savings, tread longevity and casing retreadability fleets expect from this proven tire."
The company has also provided the new range with its seven-year, 700,000 mile or 3-retread limited warranty.
