Opel has recalled 2012 and 2013 models of its Opel Astra, Corsa, Insignia and Zafira due to omission of important information from the owner’s manual.
According to Australian Competition & Consumer Commission, a total of 3,047 vehicles have been recalled.
The owner's manual does not contain some specific information required for Australia, such as Child Restraint Loading precautions.
Absence of requisite warnings related to the Child Restraint Anchor in the owner's manual may lead to incorrect loading of the Child Restraint Anchor by the consumer, the commission said.
There are no faults in the cars and owners need not take their cars to the service centers.
On behalf of Opel, vehicle dealer GM Holden will be sending the new owner's handbook via registered post.
