Biscom, Inc., the leading provider of enterprise secure file transfer and secure fax solutions, today unveiled version 2.0 of its Secure File Transfer (SFT) app for iPad. New functionality includes the availability of secure workspaces and Microsoft Active Directory authentication enhancements.
Biscom's SFT iPad app enables business professionals to use their Apple iPad devices to receive, view, and send documents and files securely. It provides instant and secure online and offline access to files delivered by Biscom's secure file transfer solution. The app provides the same secure and auditable file exchange with automatic encryption of files in-transit and at rest, and support for any file size or type from the iPad.
The secure workspace enhancement means iPad users can work in a collaborative, secured workspace on-the-go without worrying about data breaches or violating privacy laws and/or governmental regulations.
"For organizations large and small, the need for privacy, confidentiality, and controlled access from mobile devices are increasing daily in response to business needs for portability," said Bill Ho, president of Biscom. "With Biscom's secure workspace, participants who are on-the-go can collaborate on projects, share documents, start discussions, and receive email notifications when the workspace is updated. All workspace activities are secure and automatically tracked."
In addition, the Microsoft Active Directory authentication enhancement facilitates integration with Microsoft Exchange environments, enabling AD users of the SFT app to use their AD credentials for authentication on their iPads.
The new Biscom Delivery Server (BDS) iPad app can be found in the Apple App store or by searching "Biscom Delivery Server."
