US-based food firm General Mills has unveiled its line-up of new products that are designed to address consumer interests in key trends including wellness and convenience.
Scheduled to be launched this summer, the new line-up includes Yoplait Plenti, Nature Valley Toasted Oats Muesli, Annie's organic soups, as well as meal time short-cuts and sweet treats.
General Mills chairman and CEO Ken Powell said: "General Mills has been growing for more than a century, constantly innovating and investing to meet changing consumer needs.
"As we enter fiscal 2016, we are keenly aware of our consumers changing food preferences. This presents a tremendous opportunity to create growth for General Mills."
The Nature Valley Toasted Oats Muesli is a blend of simple ingredients including toasted oats, sun flower seeds, dried cranberries, raisins, toasted coconut, almonds and pumpkin seeds, and can be eaten plain, with milk or yogurt.
Combining Greek Yogurt with whole grain oats, flax and pumpkin seeds, Yoplait Plenti comes in eight flavours including blueberry, black cherry, coconut, peach raspberry, spiced apple, strawberry and vanilla.
Annie's organic soup line is being offered in flavours like star pasta & chicken soup, tomato soup, creamy tomato & bunny pasta soup, bunny pasta & chicken broth soup and creamy carrot & bunny pasta.
Other products that aim to address wellness include gluten free bars, Nature Valley simple nut bars, Cheerios Plus and Yoplait O'Fruit.
The meal time short-cuts suite includes Progresso Cooking Stock made by simmering real bones, vegetables and herbs, green giant fire roasted vegetables, Old El Paso Mini Taco Boats, and Latina Fresh Gluten Free Pasta.
General Mills is also introducing a new range of sweet treats such as cinnabon mini pull-aparts, Haagen-Dazs stick bars, FiberOne Cheesecake Bars, as well as Betty CrockerMug Cake.
Apart from this, the company is also tapping into some of the hottest movie equities with products featuring Minions, Star Wars and Disney's Frozen.
