Automotive components manufacturer Hatch Stamping Company has announced plans to expand its presence in Southeast of the US by relocating to a new manufacturing facility in Portland, Tennessee.
The manufacturer will invest $17m at the current facility, creating 101 new jobs in Robertson County. The facility will be fully operational by January 2015.
Hatch Stamping Company will design and manufacture metal stampings and assemblies at the new 106,000ft2 manufacturing facility for the southeastern market and worldwide distribution.
With the addition of new location, the company will expand global footprint to meet the needs of its customers. It will have the ability to offer all of its existing products and services in the southern location.
Robertson County Mayor Howard Bradley said this is just another expansion of the region's economic base that it should be proud of.
"The people of Robertson County welcome Hatch warmly and look forward to their success," Bradley added.
Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam said, "Hatch Stamping's decision to locate a new manufacturing facility in Portland is another example of the business-friendly climate our state offers to companies around the world, and it reinforces our goal to make Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs."
