The ACE Group, a provider of insurance and reinsurance services, has made two new management appointments within its Continental Europe region, with an aim to boost underwriting capabilities across the region.
The insurer said that Jerome Salmon has been named as the regional multinational casualty manager, Continental Europe, who will spearhead the development of ACE's casualty underwriting capabilities to serve the specific needs of Europe's multinational businesses.
Additionally, Salmon will also co-operate closely with brokers and clients to understand their changing insurance needs and further develop and communicate ACE's customer proposition.
Prior to this, Jerome was working with Chartis France, where he managed profit centre management responsibility for the liability department.
The insurer has selected Connie Germano, senior vice president of National Accounts, ACE USA Excess Casualty, as regional casualty manager, middle market and life sciences, Continental Europe.
He has been assigned to explore more opportunities and develop capability for ACE's Middle Market and Life Sciences casualty insurance segments in Continental Europe.
Working in tandem with ACE USA, a regional centre of excellence and support will be constructed to enhance service for US clients with European casualty exposures.
Most recently, Connie was serving as a US national account segment leader with responsibility for managing a book of lead umbrella and excess liability insurance business.
ACE Continental Europe regional president Joseph Clabby said over the past year, the firm has steadily stepped up investment in its casualty insurance business in Continental Europe.
"These latest appointments demonstrate our continued commitment to building our underwriting and service capabilities in key areas of competitive strength for ACE, and serving the diverse needs of our customers, including both middle market and multinational clients," Clabby added.
