China backed electric and autonomous vehicle startup Faraday Future has unveiled its first concept car, ‘FFZERO1 Concept’, a self driving Batmobile style car capable of producing up to 1,000hp.
The car is powered by 4 Quad Core Motors and is capable of accelerating from 0-60 in less than 3 seconds, and attains top speed of 200MPH.
Faraday used carbon fiber and lightweight composite construction to create the new age car which has been sculpted by aerodynamics for driving performance and efficiency.
FFZERO1 Concept is expected to provide an ideal environment for high performance operation.
The car's aero tunnel design has been created to reduced drag and battery cooling.
Inspired by NASA's zero gravity design, Faraday has designed the driver's seat of the car in a way that it provides a sense of weightlessness and reduce driver fatigue.
The interior also features a smartphone integrated steering wheel that connects to the driver's smartphone which facilitates remote vehicle setup, customized configuration, along with data visualization and interaction.
It is not known when the car will hit production, but the company has already signed a $1bn deal to build a factory in North Las Vegas.
The plant is set to break ground in the coming few weeks and is expected to create 4,500 new jobs including professional and manufacturing jobs in the region.
