US-based CCS Printing has announced the addition of a new Hewlett-Packard (HP) Indigo 7600 Digital Color Press, in a bid to strengthen its digital offset printing ability.
CCS Printing president Kevin Sullivan said the company invested in the Indigo to widen the types of projects it can print and also to improve turnaround.
"The Indigo allows us to print on a wider variety of substrates including synthetics and static clings, heavier board weight stocks and pre-die cut packaging applications. The 7600 will allow CCS to print on a larger sheet size as well," Sullivan said.
The new press enables CCS to print with white ink and also to print on metallic paper and dark colored stocks.
According to the company, the Indigo also meets GRACoL 7 certification, which will allow the company to match output to lithographic offset printed projects.
