German automaker Daimler has received an order from Spanish forwarding agent Primafrio for 400 Mercedes-Benz Actros trucks.
This move is a part of the Spanish firm's effort to modernize its 750 vehicle fleet that specializes in the transportation of refrigerated goods.
These new Actros trucks feature environment-friendly Euro V technology. This new order will be completed by January 2014.
Primafrio transportation company owner Jose Esteban Conesa said that the economy plays a crucial role for us as a logistics company.
"We have tested the Mercedes-Benz Actros successfully in our fleet. Decisive factors which persuaded us to opt for the Actros were the excellent fuel economy and the customer-oriented after-sales service," Esteban added.
Started production in 1963, Mercedes-Benz has produced more than 3.6 million trucks at its Worth plant in Germany.
The company produces Atego, Axor, Arocs, Actros, Econic, Unimog and Zetros model series trucks at this plant.
