Established in 1986, The Boxshop is an owner-managed business expertise in box design and manufacture as well as packaging management and customer service, plus a range of material management and storage services.
The company’s 80,000ft2 manufacturing and warehousing facility is supported by dedicated warehouse and distribution facilities in Aberdeen close to the main motorway network allowing efficient distribution to customers throughout Scotland and Northern England.
The Boxshop had already installed a number of Mosca squarer strappers in the past, so when it needed a further two machines for a new unit at its existing site, the company did not hesitate in contacting Mosca again.
The first machine is an MCB 2 which has been installed at the end of a TCY 9PA case maker. This latest generation fully automated in-line strapper with integrated squaring device ensures smooth bundle control thanks to the latest in brushless DC technology which also provides excellent strap sealer reliability and low maintenance. Fast, automated set up and changeovers deliver a throughput of up to 27 bundles per minute.
The MCB2 has replaced an older Mosca machine, bringing the very latest technology to an existing Mosca set-up.
The second new Mosca is an ROATRS which has been supplied to follow a Bobst VisionFold speciality gluer machine. Its advanced features for fast and reliable operation include pneumatic press, automatic strap threading, quick release coil dispenser and variable speed conveyor system.
