Nora Lighting has been named a 2012 Platinum Award winner for the company's Eric pendant in the Awards for Design Excellence(ADEX)competition,sponsored by Design Journal magazine.In the last 17 years,ADEX has become the largest and most prestigious awards program for product design of furniture,fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade.
Upon receiving notification of the award,Nora Lighting President Fred Farzan said:

The 2011-12 ADEX Awards attracted upwards of 500 companies submitting more than 2,800 innovative new products,reported John Platter,executive director of ADEX.

Slim and sophisticated,the Eric glass pendant from Nora Lighting illuminates the night with an elegant flair that's at home in hospitality,retail or residential environments.Featuring a burnished amber or frosty white finish,Eric can add sizzle or a cool calm to its surroundings.

All of the entries in each of the ADEX categories have potential for three award levels of platinum,gold or silver.Judges awarded points based on form,function,value,and fitness for particular purpose.Total points earned determined each winner's award level.All Platinum,Gold and Silver level products will be published in the 2012 ADEX Winners Issue of Design Journal,the international trade publication for interior designers,architects and facility managers.
