US-based soft drinks distributor Wis-Pak has unveiled its DOC 360 soft drink in new recyclable Alumi-Tek bottle provided by packaging supplier Ball.
Dubbed as the Slam Can, the 16oz aluminum bottle is paired with Ball's thermochromic ink that alters color when the contents inside are cold enough to drink. The bottle features benefits including reclosability and portability.
DOC 360 business development manager Gary Wypiszynki said new packaging such as the Alumi-Tek bottle and thermochromic ink provides the differentiation for the drink.
"The chill-activated Slam Can is a premium package that communicates excitement and boldness that is authentic to our consumers," Wypiszynki said.
Ball, which supplies packaging for beverage, food and household products customers, reported sales of more than $8.7bn in 2012.
