SDL Atlas was extremely pleased with their continued success presenting at ISPO BEIJING 2014 which took place February 19-22 at the Beijing National Convention Center.

This year marks the 10th for the International Trade Show for Sports Equipment and Fashion in Asia which has built a reputation as the leading sports business platform in the Asia-Pacific region.

SDL Atlas sales and technical experts demonstrated a variety of their core line of textile testing instruments including the Moisture Management Tester, Hydrostatic Head Tester, Air Permeability Tester, and Drying Rate Tester. Additionally, SDL Atlas introduced at their booth the launch of their most innovative product yet – the Fabric Touch Tester (FTT).

The FTT is the first device to objectively and quantitatively measure fabric hand and skin touch comfort. This innovative equipment permits quality control and research and development laboratories to measure and predict the comfort perception of fabrics, from product designs, to processing control, and end products for consumers. 

The precise objective measurements make the FTT an excellent communication device among designers, retailers, and their vendors about comfort requirements.

The introduction of the FTT created a lot excitement and curiosity with the show’s participants. Many international and domestic brands of fabric suppliers expressed interest in both the FTT and many other of the SDL Atlas line of innovative textile testing instruments.
