Hess AG,the manufacturer of LED streetlights and architectural lighting products,has announced a strategic agreement with Osram.
The partnership will involve the development of new LED module solutions for outdoor lighting.Hess and Osram also intend to increase LED lightings impact on international markets,particularly in North America and Japan.
Christoph Hess,Hess AGas CEO,said:The high degree of acceptance Osram enjoys as a lamp manufacturer reassures cities and towns that they will be able to obtain the same modules or comparable subsequent products for their lighting in the future.
Hessa extensive LED component portfolio will now incorporate new Osram modules,including the SSL LED module that employs a triple zone reflector and minimises glare for road users.
Hess plans to integrate the new Osram module into three of its existing luminaire ranges and two new product series.
The newly developed luminaires permit us to fully exploit the interaction between the light sources and luminaire housing,said Christoph Hess.
Last year,Hess also agreed a deal with Thorn lighting which gave Thorn exclusive rights to market Hess products in the UK and Ireland.
