The technology combines milk and other additives in a vat, which processes, heats, cools, cuts, and stirs the ingredients to make cheese.
CSI says it has acknowledged the validity of the Tetra Pak patent and has agreed to refrain from “making, using, selling, offering to sell, and/or importing cheese vats which employ the patented counter-rotating shaft technology for the remaining life of the Tetra Pak patent”.
The dispute dates back to 2010 when Tetra Pak first accused CSI of infringing on its Patent No. 5985347.
