Italian luxury carmaker Ferrari has unveiled a new car, 458 Speciale, in its range for the Middle East at the Dubai International Motor Show.
The new 458 Speciale is based on the company's Challenge Stradale and 430 Scuderia models, which is aimed at sports orientated customers and is patented by Ferrari.
This new car is equipped with the company's 8 cylinder engine with 605cv and an output of 135cv/l. It also features a power to weight ratio of 2.13kg/cv, aerodynamic efficiency and electronic control of the set-up angle.
In October 2013, the luxury carmaker partnered with TRW Automotive Holdings to supply electrically powered hydraulic steering (EPHS) technology for its latest vehicle LaFerrari - the first Ferrari to feature hybrid propulsion.
The EPHS system offers fuel savings of up to 0.3L/100km and a reduction of Co2 emissions of approximately 7g/km. The technology also delivers fuel economy and CO2 reduction benefits comparable to full electric steering solutions.
