Outlook Group Expands The MICROLINER Thin Label Technology

Outlook Group Packaging & Printing Solutions has developed a new pressure sensitive labeling solution that expands the MICROLINER thin label technology into new applications.

According to the company, reverse print MICROLINER RVP technology enables to print on the underside of the facestock removing the need for protective varnishes or costly overlams, while improving the labels' durability currently being surface printed.

MICROLINER labels use a down gauged film liner and a reversed label die-cutting process that cuts down material costs while enhancing operational efficiencies on existing label application equipment.

The technology uses a thinner liner and hence 30% or more labels can fit on a single roll translating into longer run time between roll changes, less operational downtime for changeovers, higher average run speeds and less waste.

Outlook Group sales and market development executive vice president Kevin Hayes said the evolution of the MICROLINER process expands the company's reach into new pressure sensitive label markets.

"By applying the ink to the underside of the facestock, Outlook Group Packaging & Printing Solutions eliminates the need for varnishes or overlams that protect the label," Hayes said.
