Bericap Develops New Closure for Five-Gallon Water Containers

German closures manufacturer Bericap has developed new closures for five-gallon water containers.

The company has developed a new lightweight 2K home and office delivery (HOD) closure, which features quality packaging and saves about 30% of resin.

Several years back, the company has designed a 2K HOD closure that can provide absolute tightness even on poor bottle necks and under extreme supply chain circumstances.

The firm has also developed a new injection-moulded PET container for HOD bottlers in North America, Europe and Asia, helping them to replace with blow-moulded container.

Bericap has also developed a Valvelock Trumpet liner-less one-piece closure with a specific seal.

According to the company, the new closure has been tested on new PET necks and the 5-gallon containers.

Both new closure types feature a centre shutter and low-cost pierced centre membrane.

With the support of SIPA, the firm also developed an ultra-light neck/closure solution called Valvelock SuperShort for one-way PET containers.

In June, the company launched a new two piece closure for the edible oil and vinegar markets.

The new CTC IP fits the neck 29/2, which is said to attract consumers with its shiny surface.

Bericap has equipped the closure with an integrated hinge. The 1-pc press-on hinge closure is suitable for a 29/21 PET neck or adequate glass neck.
