UK-based Nicholl Food Packaging will showcase its latest tray developments, which include an ‘eco-friendly’ hybrid format as well as further additions to its aluminum tray range at Pro2Pac 2013.
Nicholl will display its smoothwall and wrinklewall varieties, which include liddable smoothwall variants with integrated handles for added convenience, usable in oven applications, according to packagingeurope.com.
Its new eco-friendly trays have a hybrid board and plastic construction with the board sourced from renewable wood. It is said to offer a more sustainable alternative to plastics for a variety of products such as fresh ready to cook meals and cooked meats.
It will also exhibit its Saica Form trays manufactured in clean room conditions with corrugated board from 100% recycled paper.
