The company will build only 10 units of the model, specifically for the movie. It will be developed and built in-house at Aston Martin's Gaydon headquarters in Warwickshire, England.

DB10 was unveiled by the manufacturer on the 007 stage at Pinewood Studios, together with the film producers EON Productions.

James Bond's latest luxury sports car was designed by Aston Martin's chief creative officer Marek Reichman and his team, in consultation with the film's director Sam Mendes.

The company began designing Bond cars 50 years ago with the DB5.

Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said: "In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond.

"To be partnering once again with EON Productions is great news for this company and for everyone around the world that loves to see Bond at the wheel of an Aston Martin.

Aston Martin's headquarters in Gaydon is undergoing an extension to accommodate the production of the company's new sports cars. It plans to invest £500m in the next generation of high performance sports cars in the coming years.

The car maker announced in May that Gaydon will have a new chassis and pilot build facility, offices, and an extension of the parts and logistics storage area. The new facilities will cover an additional 10,000m2.
