Whole Foods Market Withdraws Bran Muffin Over Packaging Error

Whole Foods Market is recalling Bran Muffin as it may contain egg and milk, which are not mentioned on the packaging.

The recalled product is Bran Muffin sold in six packs bearing PLU 24857800499 with best by dates of 1/21/15 to 4/6/15.

This was sold in retail stores across the Southwest US including Texas, Oklahoma, Los Angeles and Arizona.

The recall has been initiated after it was found that the product contains eggs and milk as ingredients, during a routine product review.

Consumption of the recalled product may cause serious or life-threatening reaction in people allergic or severely sensitive to eggs or milk. However, no illnesses have been reported associated with the recall.

The customers are being notified about the recall and the affected product has been removed from shelves.

Customers who have bought the recalled product are advised to either discard it or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
