LED packaging service provider Unity Opto Technology has obtained orders for LED lighting products with shipments scheduled through June, with total orders exceeding its production capacity, according to the company.
Unity Opto said it has been expanding packaging capacity for LED lighting to meet increasing orders.
In addition, Unity Opto has received increased orders for backlight units used in high-end smartphones, the company indicated.
For 2014, Unity Opto recorded consolidated revenues of NT$9.028 billion (US$286 million), up 27.2% on year, gross margin of 20.50%, up 2.21pp, net operating profit of NT$636 million, up 189.1%, net profit of 373 million, up 78.5%, and net EPS of NT$1.21.
Unity Opto's board of directors on March 27 decided to distribute a cash dividend per share of NT$1 for 2014.
