Eco2charge Group Has Announced The Development of an Electric Car Charging System

Eco2charge group, a consortium of French companies, has announced the development of an electric car charging system from old batteries.

The Eco2charge group consists of Alstom, Renault, Bouygues and Nexans, which jointly developed the charging system.

It assembles old batteries from electric vehicles that are capable of gathering electricity at night and gradually charge vehicles during the day.

The new system is based on old batteries that are designed to meet the power demand when several cars are simultaneously recharged and is designed to counter the challenges faced by power networks with multiple electric chargers.

It is being tested in the pilot sites of Bouygues and Renault and has a budget of $16.8m. It will cater to the needs of commercial and official buildings and will work for all models.
