Texen Group (Groupe Texen) has commissioned KraussMaffei’s CX series two-component injection molding machine to use in wide range of technologies.
The multi-component machine with advanced refined procedural and mechanical features will allow the company to increase its flexibility in the development of injection molded packaging.
Using a CXZ 160 - 380/180 hybrid with a LRX 100 side-entry robot, Texen started producing plastic packaging for cosmetics and perfume products.
The machine features control system interfaces for essential processes such as in-mold decoration, SkinForm or ColorForm, DecoForm or Coverform.
With the large injection unit, shot weights up to about 140g can be produced, according to KraussMaffei.
KraussMaffei's Dynamic Mold Heating (DMH) system has also been integrated in this machine, which separates the temperature control circuits in molds and creates a dynamic temperature profile in the mold.
KraussMaffei Group France subsidiary president Jacques Socquet said that Texan was looking for a partner who could deliver an injection molding machine with outstanding application flexibility.
"We have integrated all kinds of process engineering, which likely cannot be found in France or even in the market as a whole in this form," Socquet added.
Texen Group president Fabrice Baravaglio said the new injection molding machine is utilized specifically for development projects.
"We envisioned a single machine that could map all of our requirements. KraussMaffei succeeded in making our vision a reality," Baravaglio added.
With its eight locations in Europe, North America and Latin America, Texen also produces injection-molded plastic packaging and screw-cap closures.
