Nunes, a US-based organic and conventional vegetables supplier under the Foxy brand, has selected FoodLink's produce traceability (PTI) platform for all its field-packed produce grown and shipped throughout the US.
FoodLink connects advanced case and item-level tracking, with an extensive commerce network of buyers and sellers transacting over the FoodLink network.
The FoodLink network allows tracking information about where food is grown and packed all the way through the supply chain of shipping, purchasing and receiving by retail category managers, and finally bringing it to consumers.
Nunes IT director and Evangelist Peter Townsend said that FoodLink stood out with its simple licensing model, inexpensive cost and mature ERP integration tools.
"The team has been fantastic to work with and deployment has been as smooth as it gets. I'm conversant with the cloud-hosted trace and analytics technology platform model and FoodLink offers a robust solution," Townsend added.
FoodLink chief marketing officer Kevin Brooks said: "Leading growers and shippers such as The Nunes Company really set the standard for how the produce industry moves forward with implementing produce traceability requirements."
