A JU2000E jack-up drilling rig named “KANTANQIHAO” was delivered to Sinopec Offshore Oilfield Services Company (SOOSC) at CIMC Raffles on April 12, which is the most advanced offshore drilling rig that Sinopec owned currently. Jiao Fangzheng, Vice President of Sinopec Group, attended the delivery ceremony.
Equipped with international mainstream high-end devices, the rig is able to operate in water depth up to 122 m, and has a drilling depth up to 10,668 m. It can work at temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius and hold 140 people.
It will be towed to South China Sea, providing drilling service to Sinopec’s Wei-6 well in the Beibu Bay soon.
