The Shirley Temple Soda Pop company has partnered with Crown beverage packaging North America to relaunch its classic soda by packaging it in beverage cans.
The new product which will be called Hollywood's original Shirley Temple Soda Pop will now be available in stores and supermarkets as opposed to the earlier product only being sold in restaurants.
The company said that it was focused on creating a non-alcoholic cocktail that was produced using all natural ingredients.
The new drink is completely caffeine-free and is made with pure cane sugar which makes it a suitable drink for children.
Speaking about the reason for partnering with Crown packaging which is a business unit of Crown holdings, the company said that they wanted to come out with a product that would be attractive to the younger population.
The new design features the brand's fountain glass and straw along with the brand's original blend of bright pink and teal colors.
The Shirley Temple Soda Pop Company's president Chet Prater said, "It was extremely important that the vivid design and signature colors be reproduced crisply and cleanly. Crown's team was friendly, accommodating and available throughout the process, making sure that the final design met our brand's standard."
The Shirley Temple chose to package the beverage in cans owing to itsdurability and portability.
The company added that cans offer a barrier against light and oxygen which protects the product and lets consumers enjoy the same quality beverage every time. Cans also are a more eco-friendly option as they can be conveniently and infinitely recycled.
The beverage will be available in 12oz cans.
