Mexico-Wireless Solution Sweden AB Mexican OEM partner Hermes Music,S.A.de C.V.recently brightened the skyline in Villahermosa,Mexico at the Liverpool Flagship store using PR Lighting with W-DMX.Hermes supplied 22 W-DMX transmitters and 64 of PR Lighting's PR-8800 architectural fixtures to light the façade.
Mexico City-based architectural firm Inaki Echeverria constructed the façade from 20m long segments of precast concrete slabs joined together that rotate at 180°angles.To create a dynamic colour wash and highlight the architectural features, lighting designer Joseph Charles Vargas Rubenak used PR-8800 fixtures with built in W-DMX.
The PR-8800,which has been newly launched by PR lighting, features the design of the W-DMX signal transmission,a true outdoor IP67 waterproof rating,RGB colour mixing system and the environment brightness automatic adjustment
The color-changing lighting on the Liverpool store after dark provides an interesting mixture of colours, reflections and shadows to create an ever-changing image.
Ricardo Segura de la Cruz of Hermes Music comments,"Because the W-DMX receiver is already built into the lights,it makes installation incredibly easy and saves a lot of time. And the stability of the DMX signal is unbeatable. We were using 22 transmitters in a commercial building with a lot of metal surrounding, sending DMX signal to 64 fixtures with an average distance between transmitter and fixture about 10 to 15m.Everything is running perfectly and the overall effect is stunning."
Niclas Arvidsson,CEO of Wireless Solution says,"This is a good example of why we devote R&D to our OEM product and why our OEM partner list continues to grow. It's a very simple solution when your lights already have the receiver built in.It saves time, money and manpower. We were very happy to work with both PR Lighting and Hermes on this project."
