It’s reported that Quintain Steel, one of the major wire rod producers in Taiwan announced to remain its list prices for wire rods unchanged for December. Also, the company has kept its wire rod list prices flat for consecutive three months. After the adjustment, its list prices for Al-killed wire rods are at NT$24,600/ton; those for rimmed wire rods are at NT$22,600/ton; those for blast furnace (BF) killed wire rods are at NT$21,600/ton and those for electric furnace (EF) Al-killed wire rods are at NT$22,400/ton. Although the raw material prices have remained stable, the demand is still weak. Therefore, Quintain Steel can only keep the price level unchanged for this month. It is expected that Yieh Hsing, the other major wired rod producer in Taiwan might also keep its prices flat for December.
