German carmaker Audi has reported 37.8% rise in its sales in China and Hong Kong to 193,871 units during the initial six months of 2012.
According to the company, the rise in sales during the period was due to the sales of vehicles produced in Changchun, which reported 38.8% rise to 157,441 units while the domestically produced Audi Q5 reported 86.7% rise to 43,150 units during the period.
Sales of imported cars in China excluding Hong Kong reported 36.2% rise to 35,062 units.
Audi has also increased its vehicle sale by 20.4% during June to 33,309 automobiles, when compared to the same month in 2011.
According to the company, Audi Q3 will be launched in Chinese market by the end of July as an imported vehicle.
