Seguros El Norte has selected IBM’s PureSystems to improve its IT infrastructure and accelerate the deployment of new customer facing applications.
The company will deploy the PureSystems service to its existing servers, intended to launch a new intranet portal to integrate IBM Connections social capabilities and an external site to enhance customers interaction.
In addition to providing increased data protection against external threats, the new PureSystems platform will address El Norte's need for additional processing power and storage to unify different number of technologies and prepare for future business growth.
Additionally, the El Norte will equip the PureSystems with its integrated instant messaging environment based on Lotus/Domino to enhance internal collaboration and merge all email platforms.
Combined with IBM Connections, the new environment will help optimize internal communication and enables users to create communities, wikis and blogs.
IBM Argentina commercial director Diego Rinaldi said that the PureSystems also enables clients to integrate all infrastructures thus ensuring a stable environment, with sufficient capacity to provide optimal performance and greater flexibility to adapt market needs.
