Agilent has introduced its highest performance mixed signal oscilloscope, adding six models to its 90000 X-Series.
The digital channels can function at 20Gsample/s in eight-channel configuration or 10Gsample/s with 16 channels.
A triggering mode for DDR memory has also been added.
Analogue channels
"Protocol errors plague even the most mature system designs. While some modern scopes have the ability to move up the protocol stack on the analogue channels, an engineer trying to understand root cause can quickly use up the scope’s analogue channels. Adding up to 16 high-speed digital channels available for the measurement means protocol checking on the digital channels for a measurement like DDR makes it possible to see the full view of analogue impacts while validating protocol compliance," claimed the firm.
The scopes have the same 90pin connector found on the firm's logic analysers, allowing access to existing 17 channel differential/single-ended probes including: soft touch connectorless probes, flying lead set and Samtec connector.
They are on show at DesignCon in the Santa Clara Convention Center this week .
